Women’s March on Washington, DC

admin January 22, 2017

Yesterday was a long, inspiring day of protest at the Women’s March, Washington, DC. It was peaceful and generous in spirit, truly a “Love Army” in the words of Van Jones. There can be no justice if men don’t stand up for women’s rights. Love to everyone who came!

When I was 20, I volunteered on the Dean for America campaign for just a weekend and it changed my life. I joined Yalies and others in the cold of Salem, New Hampshire. I’m hopeful because I know that the Women’s March will invigorate the spirit of all the college kids who participated. It could be the beginning of a long life of activism for them. It was inspiring for me, even now. In college, that type of engrossing event can capture you and send you on a lifelong mission.
