Started rewatching Breaking Bad on Netflix. It’s been 4 years since I saw it all the way through to series finale. It still feels to relevant. It lends itself so well to group discussion about ethics and criminal justice. If I were a teacher, I’d find a way to bring it into the classroom. Additionally, on this viewing I see more clearly the sadness in Walter White’s life–even before the cancer diagnosis. What joy did he have? None that I can pinpoint. I see him with scrambled eggs and wonder why no green chiles on them. The little joys in life he evades…
