Monique Hamm, writer and EMT, has launched a podcast, “Authors in Ambulances,” that explores connections between arts and emergency medicine. Her first subject is my grandfather John Dos Passos, who served as an ambulance driver in World War I. Hamm interviewed me as well as James McGrath Morris, author of The Ambulance Drivers: Hemingway, Dos Passos, and a Friendship Made and Lost in War. Great story!
